Ahhh!!

So you know that post way back when about how I never actually stay with a journal? So it happened...Sorry it's been such a long time that I've posted! And I can't even say that I've come back with something interesting to say...as usual...lol. My life is not very interesting.

I do have a story for you though! Once upon a time, there was a poor little milkmaid who lived in the country, going about her life unsuspecting, completing her daily chores and having to go to the nearest market on foot. One windy day, she looked to the horizon and Behold! A merchant family was riding toward her. The father rode tall on his own black steed while the mother, holding a rather large daughter on her lap, rode a very tall, very wide palfrey. When the family spotted the maiden, they yelled out, "Oy, young maid!" and proceeded to ride to her homestead. The father descended from his mount and said to the girl, "As you can see, our youngest daughter is already 15 and needs a horse to practice riding until she can ride on her own. Obviously, my stallion is much too fine for her to practice on and my wife's mount is much too large and might cause undue injury to my young one. If you would consent to give my daughter the lessons, we will buy a mount for you (of course not as fine as mine) and let you keep it after you have taught her." Of course thrilled at the idea of her very own horse to take her into town, the milkmaid agreed.

So guess what? The milkmaid is me (ironic since I'm lactose intolerant. I don't know why I picked a milkmaid), the merchant family is my family, and this story refers to what happened over break. I got a car!!! It's not as nice as my dad's Caddy or as large as my mom's minivan, but it's mine! So what if I got it only because my dad wanted me to teach my little sister to drive!! I know it's not as exciting to everyone else as it is to me, but I had to tell the world. Hopefully the fairytale made the news a little more interesting.

Yeah so it was a good break. :) I hope all yours were equally as wonderful!

love lisa
